Team mate Grant Andrews leading me up Rabbit Ears Pass
The new season of Nordic Combined has started and i would like to apologize for not updating my website in a while I have been dealing with the end of school. Thankfully we are on summer break now! This new season started off with a trip to Park City to for physical testing, this was one of my first opportunities to train at a nicer facility because of my naming to the National Training Group (NTG). I was named to this team at the end of this year because I made the world junior championship team this winter. On this team I receive more funding for my travel as well as more opportunities in relation to training. Anyway at the physical testing camp in Park City I was tested on the roller ski treadmills at the Olympic Training Center (OTC). On the treadmills we did two different tests, the first was a test to figure out what my different heart rate levels are. The second was a max test to find my VO2 max as well as get some numbers into the computers for future reference. While we were there we also did a body index, hemoglobin and strength tests again in order to get more numbers into the computers for future reference.

After our trip to Park City we did a lot of training around town that was both fun and hot. Although I was still finishing school I was able to participate in some very fun training sessions. Because of our trip to Park CIty to test I now know exactly how hard I should be going in each workout.
