My team and I have now arrived in Chaux-Neuve, France! It is my first time in France and I am excited for this weekends competitions. I have mentioned before that our team has 5 start spots for these next two weekends of World Cup competitions starting here in Chaux-Neuve and next weekend in Seefeld, AUT. We decided to bring all six members of the national team (myself, Bryan Fletcher, Taylor Fletcher, Ben Berend, Adam Loomis, Michael Ward) and rotate starts these next two weekends to get everyone an opportunity on the World Cup! It is exciting to have this many quota spots at these World Cups. However if we want to keep them Adam, Ben, Michael and I need to score World Cup points (top 30 finish) so that we can continue to compete in World Cup competitions the rest of the season. Last week Adam, Ben, Michael and I had a great week of training in Planica, SLO. We lucked out and had some fantastic conditions for jump training along with very few other jumpers on the hill with us. Although there wasn’t much snow on the ground there were several 3km loops to ski on, one in Planica and one a short drive away in Italy. We were all able to make some improvements on the jump hill and get some great cross country training in order to maintain our form. I will post an update again next week with the results from this upcoming weekend. If you would like to check up on my team and I before then you can always check my Social Media pages by clicking on the icons in the top right of the page.
