Planica, Slovenia

For the last week of our trip we stayed in Planica in the hostel to the left. This is the same place that we are going to stay this winter in between competitions instead of going traveling all the way back to the US for a week. This is an awesome town with some of the worlds nicest jumps. The jump hills here are a 15 min run away from the place that we stay but unfortunately while we were here there were not open because they were being remodeled. However there were more than 100KMs of a bike path right outside the front door for roller skiing so it was an ideal place to do long distance endurance activities. While we were here we did a lot of different endurance activities including intervals up to the peak of one of the mountains in the surrounding valleys, 3 hour skis along the bike path and many other things like that.

For the jumping of this portion of the trip we traveled to two different places, the first being Villach, Austria. This is a jump complex much like ours because there were a large amount of younger kids jumping on all sizes of hills. You can check out a video of me jumping here. This hill was very fun and I had a major breakthrough on this jump as well. If  you look at my video you will notice that my arms stay by my side the entire time I am near the takeoff. This has helped me greatly and I am very excited that I had this big of a breakthrough. We also jumped in a town called Kranj, Slovenia which was very fun because I jumped very good here as well. I continued to keep my arms quiet which has helped me a lot, you cal watch me jump in Kranj here.
