 We have arrived here in Planica, Slovenia where we will be until Thursday Jan 23. Here we are training on the new ski jumps and the skate courses that they have here. We are staying at a bed and breakfast a five minute drive from all of these complexes. After our training camp here we will move onto Oberstdorf, Germany to participate in a World Cup competition. The reason that we get to participate in this high of a level of competition is because the US A team will be back in the states training for the Olympics. This competition will be on TV in Europe and if you click here you can watch it on a live feed on the day of the event. If you go to this page you can find results and live feeds for the event that we will be competing in. The event that we are going to is an individual event and a team event, however since only one of my teammates has Continental Cup points he will be the only one allowed to compete in the individual event. We will all be able to compete in the team event which will be a 4 man jump and skate. Each person taking one jump on the K125 and skiing a 5km race. I will keep you posted as this event nears.

Amazed by what you are doing. I saw the news of the scary jump accident by the lead guy. Be careful. Which is kinda silly to say, given being careful is all your reptile brain is focused on as you are flying through the air. Hay, maybe once you "retire" we can take paragliding lessons together.... omg... has anyone skied off a nordic jump as a launch for a paraglider? I'm off to Google. Don't forget your studies.
