Since my last update my team and I have recently started our summer jumping season. The first couple jump sessions have gone great and I am happy to report my jumping has continued to move in the right direction. Our team jumped for about a week here in Park City before we made the trip back home to Steamboat for the annual 4th of July training camp and competitions. Our team did a technique session with all of the athletes in the SSWSC Nordic Combined program. We also did the annual Fish Creek Time Trial which is about 8km of a brutal uphill time trial that takes about 25ish minutes. It is an absolutely brutal race but very rewarding to finish. Our team has been doing this for several years now so it is great to be able to look back and see how much improvement I have made in the past year! We then had a ski jump competition on the 3rd of July which decided what place we would all start in for the race on the morning of the 4th. The 4th of July is always a blast and it starts off with a 3km race up and down Lincoln Ave. right before the parade starts. After that we head down to the ski jumps and compete in an elimination style jump competition! This is a very festive comp as there are a large amount of people out watching us jump and there are beer tents, food tents, and this year a DJ! It was very nice to get home for a quick training camp and trip and overall I think the events went well. I am now back in Park City training and preparing for US National Championships which are coming up here in a few weeks. Below are some pictures of what I have been up to!
