That's a Wrap!
First of all I want to let you know the reason I have been so off the back with this update is largely due to the fact that I am currently having major computer problems. The season went by crazy fast and it is now complete! I returned from Europe last Monday and spent a couple days in Park City before I made the trip home to Steamboat! It is very nice to be home and spend time with family and friends. I have been able to get out and enjoy some free skiing here in Steamboat, I even got to ski some awesome powder one morning as well! I am rather exhausted from the season and it is great to get recover and relax in my hometown! Last weekend I finished up the season in Klingenthal, GER at the Continental Cup Finale. I was feeling tired going into the weekend but did my best to put that in the back of my mind and try my best to end on a good note. As I mentioned before Klingenthal is the biggest hill I get to compete on all year so it was very fun to end the season on a very large but fun hill. I jumped fairly average which put me right around 30th place on both days of competition. On Saturday I started in 29th and ended the day in 29th, a decent result but nothing I was pumped about. The following day I jumped to 29th again and ended up racing to 33rd. I wasn't particularly happy with the weekend but I finished the last race absolutely exhausted. Although I tried to keep it out of my head I was so tired during the races that I really didn't feel myself but still did my best to race as fast as I could. If you would like to check out results from the final weekend of competitions click here. The season as a whole was very fun and full of lots of ups and downs. Now that the season has ended I will be updating my blog every 2-3 weeks but as always I will let you know when I do! At some point soon I will put together some more video and pictures capturing the season as a whole so be sure to look for that! Below I chose some of my favorite photos from the season, check it out!
