It has been an eventful month since my last update with lots of great training to wrap up the middle of summer, man does it feel like it flew by. I spent most of my time in Park City with the team which was super fun as it had been a while since we were all in the same place. The month of July was filled with a good block of training and lots of hard work. As always when I am in Park City there seems to be a lot more going on outside of training, which is a fun change! At the end of the month we had the annual Springer Tourney competition in Park City which is one of the biggest events in the US, it is one of very few times that everyone in the Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined community is in one place. It was a fun week spending time with everyone across the nation and all age groups. The competition itself didn’t go very well but I was able to take some positives away from it. Following that weekend, I packed everything up as my time in Park City was concluding. I then traveled to Vermont for a short week with family and friends for a bit of a ‘mental recharge’ before we kicked off our Fall training. I had an awesome time and was able to get a few fun training sessions and adventures in as well. Check out some photos from these adventures below.
I am now in Europe with the whole team for a training camp before the Summer Grand Prix (Summer World Cup) competitions kick off. We have had a super fun time in Planica with lots of productive training. It has been great to have the whole team training together every day on some fun ski jumps! This coming week we will start the Summer Grand Prix series which will run till right about the end of the month. After that some of us will be coming back to Planica to train for the entirety of September like we did last Fall. I am really looking forward to that month of training as it was very beneficial to my improvement last season! Check out some photos from my adventures in Europe so far!
