Well after a six-hour drive to Park City I finally made it and was able to jump in the afternoon. On my last jump I was very excited because I made a breakthrough in my jumping that helped me a lot. I stayed with my teammates Ben Berend and Nicholas Madden at a condo that Nicholas’s mom rented out for us. The next day we jumped again and my jumping continued to improve which was very exciting for my coach and me. Later in the afternoon we did skate skiing intervals, which I felt good in. We skied on the course for the next day and it looked like it was going to be a hard course but very fun and technical at the same time. The next day started at 8 in the morning with a warm-up run and football throwing session with my teammate Nicholas Madden. We then had the competition, which my comp jump was the best jump of my trip so far. Later in the day we had the skate section of our competition. The point of this comp was to figure out the World Junior Championship team and we are taking five people with us. Of all the people that were trying I jumped to the 6th position. During the race I moved into the 5th position and then I caught the person in the 4th position but he was able to get away from me at the very end of the race. I still had just made the team and was very excited about that. I will now be traveling to Liberec, Czech Republic in a week for World Junior Championships, which will be the most important competition of my life so far.

I wasn't afraid to fail. Something good always comes out of failure.
